Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jacindo Farne kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luis Angel Unda fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floydianos's protests and gave Luis Angel Unda a yellow card for diving instead. Salamón Ortuño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play forced Floydianos's goalkeeper Salamón Ortuño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Floydianos's Salamón Ortuño. Salamón Ortuño was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Salamón Ortuño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 21st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Ortuño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salamón Ortuño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 23rd minute of play. Salamón Ortuño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho scored 0-5 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Salamón Ortuño, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Salamón Ortuño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Ortuño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valerio Gabler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Ecuador booed when Floydianos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taurino Tellerias didn't get a good kick on the ball. A well done corner resulted in Juan Sebastián Puig drilling the ball in to score 0-6 behind Floydianos's goalkeeper. In the 57th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Salamón Ortuño. The goal made the score 0-7. If Jacindo Farne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Vivanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salamón Ortuño was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Jacindo Farne struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floydianos. A collision led to Floydianos getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alesandro Trucios hit a great ball. Valerio Gabler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Floydianos's Jacindo Farne in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valerio Gabler in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Floydianos.
