The corner ended in Luca Rouco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja did a great save. 25 minutes into the game, Roberto Cherro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Baldomero Rufo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The supporters of Deportivo Mandiyu booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Cherro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. With a little luck, Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto 吴勇 in the 42nd minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Cherro in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Luca Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes Deportivo Mandiyu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roque Narvaja quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Narvaja saved Deportivo Mandiyu from getting behind. Roque Narvaja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 63rd minute of play. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Mandiyu's Chiquito Benítez was substituted for Roberto Cherro. In the 74th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Roque Narvaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiquito Benítez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Chiquito Benítez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Chiquito Benítez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 80th minute of play. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roque Narvaja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 86th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquito Benítez, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
