With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Rogelio Herrasti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zakariás Lányi in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 1-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Zakariás Lányi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Los Irrompibles got a freekick which was hit by Temelko Kozov. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Herrasti in the 23rd minute of play. Zakariás Lányi struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Irrompibles. After 28 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Los Irrompibles's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Fabricio Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Los Irrompibles's Rogelio Herrasti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Los Irrompibles's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristo Gregory in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Santiago Calvet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Irrompibles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 37 played minutes Los Irrompibles got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Calvet. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Volker Gleicke with Cristo Gregory as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Herrasti in the 45th minute. Zakariás Lányi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Zakariás Lányi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Herrasti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabricio Lawrence, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 86 minutes into the match, Rogelio Herrasti notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Los Irrompibles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Herrasti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Irrompibles fully deserved thier win.
