Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tião Amaral went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Tião Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Gligor having to interfere. The supporters of Muget booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tião Amaral. In the 64th minute, Tião Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The audience was convinced that Tião Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Muget's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
