Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roberto Cherro got the match started through his kick off. It was beautiful to see Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in action when he in the 7th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Roque Narvaja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Deportivo Mandiyu's Roberto Cherro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roque Narvaja quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roque Narvaja made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Roque Narvaja to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Camilo Gisbert in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Mandiyu's Ignacio Lopez. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Roberto Cherro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Roberto Cherro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Deportivo Mandiyu's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 36 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roque Narvaja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Cherro in the 39th minute of play. In the 48th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Narvaja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Roberto Cherro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo Mandiyu's Florian Petruzzi was substituted for Rodrigo Palacios. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Rayan MacQueen replaced Adrián Guillermo. 75 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roque Narvaja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Florian Petruzzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Roque Narvaja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiquito Benítez went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Chiquito Benítez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 3-4. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Ecuador manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Deportivo Mandiyu to win.
