Neno Gudelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Neno Gudelj came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nebojša Jerić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crni Tigrovi's Nebojša Jerić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pompiliu Bacalbașa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Neno Gudelj made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neno Gudelj in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neno Gudelj in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Neno Gudelj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Njegoš Kresić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nebojša Jerić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Crni Tigrovi's Pompiliu Bacalbașa. But to his dismay, Pompiliu Bacalbașa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nebojša Jerić. That made the score 2-1 after 68 minutes of play. In the 71st minute, Pompiliu Bacalbașa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neno Gudelj in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neno Gudelj might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neno Gudelj ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neno Gudelj in the 76th minute of the match. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crni Tigrovi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Neno Gudelj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Neno Gudelj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
