Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Chile's Mariano Lacasa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xavier Figueroa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesus Sayveon having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Hristo Stoichkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Hristo Stoichkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Geoffrey Dutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Hristo Stoichkov took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Felix Garrido hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hristo Stoichkov in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xavier Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Xavier Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Xavier Figueroa hit a great ball. Athletico Picapedrense's Jesus Sayveon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 39th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hristo Stoichkov in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Athletico Picapedrense's Lorenzo Jubera was substituted for Zenon Klewinski. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloi Fontanella to make the kick off. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesus Sayveon. Jesus Sayveon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Jesus Sayveon in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Mariano Lacasa took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jesus Sayveon to make any attempt to save it. Athletico Picapedrense's Ali Ömer Ongu was substituted for Reno Cartagena. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloi Fontanella in the 70th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Athletico Picapedrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Uria to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Fontirroig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloi Fontanella in the 78th minute of play. Jesus Sayveon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 86th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloi Fontanella in the 87th minute of play. A throw-in in the 90th minute of the game was made by Coronel Ribas with Eloi Fontanella as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jesus Sayveon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 92nd minute. The throw-in from Lorenzo Jubera in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chile's Jose Manzanedo. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play.
