Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jesus Sayveon made a huge save. Jesus Sayveon made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Hristo Stoichkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Hristo Stoichkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Jesus Sayveon in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Athletico Picapedrense's Jesus Sayveon got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 28th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hristo Stoichkov in the 29th minute of the match. Jesus Sayveon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hristo Stoichkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eloi Fontanella to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jesus Sayveon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 55th minute. Athletico Picapedrense's Ali Ömer Ongu was substituted for Reno Cartagena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloi Fontanella in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Eloi Fontanella tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Eloi Fontanella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Athletico Picapedrense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlondo Aguado went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Sayveon having to interfere. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Athletico Picapedrense's Eloi Fontanella. But to his dismay, Eloi Fontanella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Orlondo Aguado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jesus Sayveon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloi Fontanella in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Athletico Picapedrense's Orlondo Aguado got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eloi Fontanella who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Coronel Ribas charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Coronel Ribas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Coronel Ribas hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After 96 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesus Sayveon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 99th match minute, Athletico Picapedrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Dutton to maneuver through the defense. Chants of Athletico Picapedrense echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
