After a rather tough play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Mandiyu the free kick. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Federico Anaya went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hipolito Bizen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 25th minute of the match. Moises Hartz charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Hartz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Moises Hartz got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Maximo Sidro fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Maximo Sidro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Deportivo Mandiyu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Sidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hipolito Bizen. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A sloppy throw-in by Isaac Esdras in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Bizen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hipolito Bizen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 57 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Anaya in the 58th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Mandiyu's Hipolito Bizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 62nd minute of play. Vladimiro Garoa got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bernabe Sanchez. After 81 played minutes Deportivo Mandiyu got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Ongile. Delmar Quintin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Mandiyu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Honduras a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmundo Espiga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Deportivo Mandiyu's Hipolito Bizen. 3-2. In the 89th minute, Isaac Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernabe Sanchez hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Edmundo Espiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hipolito Bizen. Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 96th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Hipolito Bizen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
