In the 2nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Bobadilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Elia Bobadilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zoltán Varga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play forced FC Wallersdorf's goalkeeper Elia Bobadilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Ole Fröhlich sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. Elia Bobadilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Ole Fröhlich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Wallersdorf's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elia Bobadilla came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 58 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. In the 64th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Elia Bobadilla made a huge save. After having played for 69 minutes, İlmi Yavuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wallersdorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlmi Yavuz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ole Fröhlich hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes FC Wallersdorf got a freekick which was hit by Ole Fröhlich. In the 72nd minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elia Bobadilla skillfully saved the ball. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elia Bobadilla could save by the left post. In the 77th minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elia Bobadilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Polenz in the 83rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Elia Bobadilla made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lautaro Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elia Bobadilla. That made the score 0-5 in the 95 minute of play. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
