Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to ITAMARATY getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fernando de Barros hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Virgílio Domingues sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The ITAMARATY fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when ITAMARATY's Virgílio Domingues looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, Virgílio Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ITAMARATY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A hard shot 33 in the game by Luisinho de Amaral from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. 34 minutes into the game, Germano Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ITAMARATY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Germano Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vladimír Veleta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when ITAMARATY's Virgílio Domingues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in ITAMARATY's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimír Veleta came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimír Veleta having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Virgílio Domingues made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho de Amaral in the 51st minute of the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimír Veleta having to interfere. Germano Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Virgílio Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the ITAMARATY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Domingues couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Arnaldo Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st match minute, ITAMARATY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Goiano to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. 73 minutes into the match, ITAMARATY's goalkeeper Vladimír Veleta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Germano Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 79 minutes, Virgílio Domingues made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. ITAMARATY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Salvador Gisbert almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ITAMARATY's Vladimír Veleta did a great save. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind ITAMARATY's goalkeeper Vladimír Veleta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Vladimír Veleta managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by ITAMARATY's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vladimír Veleta quite easily take care of the ball. ITAMARATY were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
