After 22 minutes Mayo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Guillermo Fontirroig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mayo's Marcus Deacon did a great save. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Steve Oliver sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Farmer in the 34th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 36th minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Casaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Deacon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Garrido hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Farmer made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Farmer came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th play minute Mariano Lacasa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcus Deacon. 1-2. Marcus Deacon made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Farmer in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Samuel Farmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Romulo Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Farmer took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Mayo's Will Porter was substituted for Johnnie Osbourn. In the 76th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Deacon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Oliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Steve Oliver almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Oliver in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Mayo were awarded a corner. Steve Oliver went to the cornerflag to take it. 84 minutes into the game, Mayo's Will Porter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Mayo were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Steve Oliver took the corner. 92 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Oliver came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
