Julian Murillo scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erkan Sadi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Ledochowski in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Kayserispor getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sakut Deryace hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Kayserispor's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Erkan Sadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Ledochowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Erkan Sadi made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Erkan Sadi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Erkan Sadi made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Erkan Sadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Peru's Eliseo Mina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erkan Sadi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Kayserispor's Erkan Sadi managed to reach the ball for a save. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 85th minute. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. Peru's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
