Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Rolando Alley made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 10th match minute, Atlético de Caracas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabirel Caceo to maneuver through the defense. Zarando Calva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Nazmija Stojković's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Caracas's Yaar O'Connell got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazmija Stojković in the 24th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Tom Wassenius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Atlético de Caracas were awarded a corner. Gabirel Caceo went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Alley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. 43 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Cazalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético de Caracas the free kick. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Atlético de Caracas's Gabirel Caceo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Zarando Calva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Atlético de Caracas made a substitution. Aires Laguno replaced Nazmija Stojković. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Tom Wassenius threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mexico's Luca Zorita quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zarando Calva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 56th minute of play. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zarando Calva, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Wassenius in the 71st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Rolando Alley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Piotr Moizuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Zarando Calva in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Wassenius in the 79th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
