Lamine Xande hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Xande Buffon could save by the left post. Lamine Xande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Nicolas De la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Marquinhos Jacinto hit a great ball. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Buffon got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lamine Xande struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Joinville - FSCMZ. When Chiquinho de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Joinville - FSCMZ's protests and gave Chiquinho de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Xande Buffon made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Felix Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Xande Buffon. The goal made the score 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lamine Xande in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Xande Buffon in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the New Joinville - FSCMZ defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xande Buffon. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xande Buffon should have stopped the shot.

In the 50th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xande Musiala to maneuver through the defense. When Lamine Xande came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lamine Xande couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Emílio Martins was substituted for Durvalino Travassos. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after New Joinville - FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xande Buffon quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the New Joinville - FSCMZ defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xande Buffon. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xande Buffon should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Xande Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Robinho de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
