Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristián Gabrieli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tervel Ralev hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Stauber. After 21 played minutes Bearcreek United got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Schenk. Cristián Gabrieli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Bearcreek United's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Cristián Gabrieli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristián Gabrieli. Bearcreek United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Bearcreek United's Ralf Stauber fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristián Gabrieli having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Cristián Gabrieli threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Schätzle in the 59th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Alberto Tafalla put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cristián Gabrieli. In the 64th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristián Gabrieli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Bearcreek United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Bearcreek United's Cristián Gabrieli managed to reach the ball for a save. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cristián Gabrieli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 77th minute, Leonardo Leoz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Cristián Gabrieli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Bearcreek United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odin Weingartner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristián Gabrieli made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Luca Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristián Gabrieli firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 89th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Bearcreek United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristián Gabrieli made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bearcreek United the free kick. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bearcreek United.
