ΟΦΗ's Giorgos Bletsios quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Macos Graciani, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ilias Seichanidis could save by the left post. In the 84th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Seichanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after ΟΦΗ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Facundo Cadaval made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis managed to reach the ball for a save.
