The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Panagiotis Agapakis:s penalty. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Panagiotis Agapakis scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Gregory got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Stamatis Ifantis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ERGOTELIS's Stamatis Ifantis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panagiotis Agapakis got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Stamatis Ifantis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Panagiotis Agapakis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 任树振 in the 42nd minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Panagiotis Agapakis managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. Nichifor Juravschi charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Nichifor Juravschi hit a great ball. Stamatis Ifantis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Stamatis Ifantis in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ERGOTELIS's Evelio Gregory got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Juravschi to maneuver through the defense. ERGOTELIS's Stamatis Ifantis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 81st minute of play. Eusebiu Apostu made in the 83rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Babbis Kourentas. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stamatis Ifantis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. 95 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Babbis Kourentas came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
