The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Gökay Özkoc in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 10th match minute, Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Müfit Kalhan to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökay Özkoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Luca Rouco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's Gökay Özkoc did a great save. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökay Özkoc having to interfere. Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's Karhan Payam got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baran Eraslan in the 32nd minute of play. If Kalle Karfelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökay Özkoc was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. Müfit Kalhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalle Karfelt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Karfelt in the 50th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 51 minutes into the game, Luca Rouco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü the free kick. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Buğra Sefaaddin struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü. Ferhat Haşmetli hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Gökay Özkoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's Gökay Özkoc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 61st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Rouco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gökay Özkoc quite easily take care of the ball. Gökay Özkoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 82nd minute of the match. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
