Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fan Guang Lin having to interfere. EngTULIO&Tupipano's Fan Guang Lin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 6th minute of play. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fan Guang Lin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind EngTULIO&Tupipano's goalkeeper Fan Guang Lin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match, Iuri Andrade tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fan Guang Lin saved EngTULIO&Tupipano from getting behind. Fan Guang Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fan Guang Lin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of EngTULIO&Tupipano booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Palomar came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Vizitiu in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Fan Guang Lin made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Mauro Palomar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when André Vizitiu came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of EngTULIO&Tupipano booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fan Guang Lin came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 72nd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Vizitiu in the 75th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. André Vizitiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute EngTULIO&Tupipano were awarded a corner. Wanderson Sabóia went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Fan Guang Lin in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th match minute, EngTULIO&Tupipano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Arósio to maneuver through the defense. When André Vizitiu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the EngTULIO&Tupipano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Vizitiu couldn't finish the play.
