After 40 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Turner came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes New Miran FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Markussen. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Charlie Vandamme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gino Tonić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 60th minute. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 61stth minute grab hold of the ball when Arturo Turner from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Turner in the 63rd minute of play. Kristian Markussen kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Charlie Vandamme sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Juan Sebastián Puig fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gino Tonić quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
