If Alfredo Ferrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Fernandino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Ubar having to make a save. Bolivia's Julio Chicote suffered a concussion after 9 minutes and had to leave the field. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Jäneda Club de Bilbao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riivo Uusmaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ago Allikvee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Freixa having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Jäneda Club de Bilbao's Riivo Uusmaa got a free kick in the 14th minute. Mario Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute, Elmut Rääbis made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Fernando Navarro hit a great ball. Jäneda Club de Bilbao's Edmund Ubar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Jäneda Club de Bilbao from getting a goal against them. When Eduardo Fontirroig came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Fontirroig couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Bolivia's Alfredo Ferrant dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1.

The wind increased when Mario Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. If Aksel Ojamäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso de la Cruz's late challenge caught a Jäneda Club de Bilbao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso de la Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso de la Cruz to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Jäneda Club de Bilbao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aksel Ojamäe to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Navarro scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmund Ubar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmund Ubar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 77 minutes into the match, Ago Allikvee dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Camilo Freixa, 3-3. Alfredo Ferrant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ago Allikvee in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jäneda Club de Bilbao defense, Eduardo Fontirroig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmund Ubar. The Jäneda Club de Bilbao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmund Ubar should have stopped the shot. Jäneda Club de Bilbao's Ago Allikvee got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 91st minute of play forced Jäneda Club de Bilbao's goalkeeper Edmund Ubar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Elmut Rääbis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Freixa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. In the 96th minute Ago Allikvee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolivia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
