Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. SalentoUnited's Augusto Lazcano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 7th minute of the game. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber. But to his dismay, Frasier Huber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 12 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frasier Huber in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. 17 minutes into the match, Frasier Huber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frasier Huber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 24 minutes of play, SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute, Frasier Huber made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Frasier Huber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Frasier Huber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Octavius Gräf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Octavius Gräf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute Frasier Huber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The wind increased when Frasier Huber made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frasier Huber in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Frasier Huber scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 0-9. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Frasier Huber sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Frasier Huber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-11. When Octavius Gräf came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the SalentoUnited fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavius Gräf couldn't finish the play. SalentoUnited made a substitution. Urbano Hotz replaced Frasier Huber. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Hotz in the 72nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Augusto Lazcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SalentoUnited's Patrice Brechbühl was substituted for Alexis Veterini. In the 77th match minute, SalentoUnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. Igor Brandenberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-11 was the resulting score. The SalentoUnited fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when SalentoUnited's Urbano Hotz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Urbano Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded SalentoUnited left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
