Miroslav Kvita scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Gabriel-Omar Santirso notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute Gabriel-Omar Santirso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Gabriel-Omar Santirso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 26thth minute of the game Gabriel-Omar Santirso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Arroyito FC fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Gabriel-Omar Santirso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 33rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Etor in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Santirso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Arroyito FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute. It was a well-played corner which Joshua Secada managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Carlos Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 60th minute of the match. Gabriel-Omar Santirso scored 0-6 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute. Arroyito FC's Moises Rojelio was substituted for Rene Iratze. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 72nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Gabriel-Omar Santirso took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Arroyito FC's Peter Rubi was substituted for Roman Bazil. 83 minutes in the game Venancio Etor got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A hard shot 90 in the game by Gabriel-Omar Santirso from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miroslav Kvita in the 96th minute. Arroyito FC played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
