In the 19th minute of the match Chile got a corner. SOFiNiN KEDiSi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Francisco Carballar heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İlkan Akil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with İlkan Akil in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İlkan Akil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Haydar Dizdar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of İlkan Akil when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. İlkan Akil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haydar Dizdar was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 65th minute Haydar Dizdar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
