After 32 minutes of play, Türkgücü Hanau's Ole von Külmer made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Adrian Radtke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-1. If Hilmar Bäcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivica Hunds breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Hilmar Bäcker came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Türkgücü Hanau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilmar Bäcker couldn't finish the play. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivica Hunds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute Hilmar Bäcker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivica Hunds made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 89th minute of play. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Türkgücü Hanau players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
