Sänningstjärns BK's Mito Troyanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 31st minute of play. Sänningstjärns BK's Otto Ahlbeck pulled a muscle in his back after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 34 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo mouthed his way into the referee's book. Sänningstjärns BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Facundo Cadaval was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Hans Benedict shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Kinnman in the 57th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrei Shevchenko kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mito Troyanov made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Mito Troyanov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Mexico played a much better game than Sänningstjärns BK and deserved their victory. The Sänningstjärns BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
