Everardo Javiero was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Everardo Javiero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Nahitantino's Marcelino Normando got a free kick in the 12th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heintje Passos in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Marcelo Erramu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everardo Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Che in the 24th minute of play. Raphael Berger's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raphael Berger helped the player get up and apologised. Everardo Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 42nd minute of play forced Nahitantino's goalkeeper Everardo Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Nahitantino:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Everardo Javiero came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 47 played minutes Nahitantino got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Che. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Everardo Javiero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Everardo Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of play forced Nahitantino's goalkeeper Everardo Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nahitantino's Generoso Rivero was substituted for Celso Isadore. Everardo Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Nahitantino's Yuan Bin got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 80th minute of play forced Nahitantino's goalkeeper Everardo Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Generoso Rivero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Marcelo Erramu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nahitantino's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Erramu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
