Toro Halland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. The supporters of Panama booed when Centeno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Bernabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Bernabel struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centeno. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Dariusz Adamski sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Bernabel in the 32nd minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Bernabel in the 37th minute of play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Dariusz Adamski scored 1-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Celio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dariusz Adamski made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Toro Halland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centeno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Abelardo Bernabel might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Bernabel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 68th match minute, Centeno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Celio to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Centeno's Joãozinho Quartiero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Panama. After 76 minutes, Felipe Ros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Centeno players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ambrosio Dacio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. With a little luck, Centeno's Ambrosio Dacio got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Centeno.
