When Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 9 minutes, Lautaro Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. If Gil dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 31 minutes into the match, Falcão Marques notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil dos Santos in the 39th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Marques came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF were winning 0-1.

Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Falcão Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Gil dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 minutes of play Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 70 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Benito Sanz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gil dos Santos. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Falcão Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 83rd minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Nicolas Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-4 after 85 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Falcão Marques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Nicolas Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 95th minute of play. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
