Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Romário Ortiz got the match started through his kick off. Fausto da Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Ortiz came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fausto da Rocha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Fausto da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasas short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Fausto da Rocha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 24 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto da Rocha. AFC - Curitiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 28th minute AFC - Curitiba were awarded a corner. Thiago Pliego didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AFC - Curitiba's Romário Ortiz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Fausto da Rocha however easily saved by the left post. In the 38th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto da Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

AFC - Curitiba made a substitution. Rômulo Negri replaced Romário Ortiz. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Fausto da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 53rd minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Fausto da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, one of AFC - Curitiba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFC - Curitiba. Fausto da Rocha had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Mariano Lacasa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Rômulo Negri sent off a good shot on target. Rômulo Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute Rômulo Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto da Rocha saved AFC - Curitiba from getting behind. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Rômulo Negri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 5-2. Rômulo Negri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rômulo Negri spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Chile's goal. Fausto da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Bykowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thiago Pliego firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fausto da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 96th minute of the match. In the 98th minute, August Wahlnäs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Fausto da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. There was no doubt that Chile were the better team. Chile's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
