Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Paraguay's Jaime Pardo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Alan Tetley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Fearns struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ. ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's Howard Walters got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Dry in the 20th minute of play. Alan Tetley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Covarrubias's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The supporters of ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ got a freekick which was hit by Marty Fearns. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Howard Walters was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Damion Stride hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Zoido. In the 61st match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Zoido to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Howard Walters sent off a good shot on target. If Dom Kyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Kyle in the 79th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Alan Tetley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Howard Walters took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Vincent Dry came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Dry couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Tetley was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Dom Kyle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-3.
