Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Edvaldo Zonta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Romeu de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Lino Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, Lino Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 44th minute, Romeu de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, SUPERSTAR - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in action when he in the 53rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Cardoso having to interfere. The supporters of SUPERSTAR - DMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu de Godoi in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to SUPERSTAR - DMZ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Edvaldo Zonta hit a great ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamim Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Elder Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 82nd minute, Romeu de Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SUPERSTAR - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After a rather tough play, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Alex Toledo got a free kick in the 85th minute. Romeu de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Romeu de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Romeu de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Alex Toledo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
