Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kálmán Gyarmati was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vilmos Solti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Kálmán Gyarmati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, MALÉV SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedek Asztalos to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match Koppány Szepesi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by MALÉV SC's Benedek Asztalos. But to his dismay, Benedek Asztalos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Kálmán Gyarmati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Sebastián Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When László Gyárfás came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the MALÉV SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that László Gyárfás couldn't finish the play. Kálmán Gyarmati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Bálint Molnár mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MALÉV SC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of MALÉV SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Béla Pásztor came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kálmán Gyarmati having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Vilmos Solti sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Béla Pásztor made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kálmán Gyarmati having to make a save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilmos Solti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Vilmos Solti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilmos Solti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Koppány Szepesi kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Kálmán Gyarmati made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Kálmán Gyarmati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati did a great save. After 83 minutes MALÉV SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Kálmán Gyarmati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. MALÉV SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Béla Pásztor in the 86th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kálmán Gyarmati quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Vilmos Solti managed to get in a good position for a shot. MALÉV SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilmos Solti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Koppány Szepesi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Koppány Szepesi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
