Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Medina. Eugenio Kelemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Adan Bembe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Villa La Perla's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Adan Bembe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa La Perla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adan Bembe quite easily take care of the ball. If Benedicto Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 30th minute of play forced Villa La Perla's goalkeeper Adan Bembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adan Bembe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute of the match Delmar Machado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Kelemen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 46th minute. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Delmar Machado. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugenio Kelemen to make the kick off. After having played for 74 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Medina came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Kelemen in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Villa La Perla's goalkeeper Adan Bembe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 85thth minute of the game Benedicto Medina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Polentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Villa La Perla's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Adan Bembe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 94 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Adan Bembe managed to make a qualified save. Villa La Perla's players were relieved. Benedicto Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Villa La Perla and deserved their victory. The Villa La Perla players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
