Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belcho Hlebarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anzhelo Gerushin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 39th minute of play forced ЦСКА's goalkeeper Anzhelo Gerushin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Belcho Hlebarov might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belcho Hlebarov ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belcho Hlebarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Anzhelo Gerushin made a huge save. Belcho Hlebarov hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match.
