Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aquiles Erlantz started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Erlantz in the 4th minute of play. When Jerónimo Souto came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the FC Pogipool Olsztyn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerónimo Souto couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Erlantz in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Pogipool Olsztyn's Pimarn Emam got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Lucjan Cerocki fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Pogipool Olsztyn's protests and gave Lucjan Cerocki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Pogipool Olsztyn getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lucjan Cerocki hit a great ball. Teofil Trela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Aquiles Erlantz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Teofil Trela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofil Trela having to interfere. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofil Trela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teofil Trela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 36th minute of play forced FC Pogipool Olsztyn's goalkeeper Teofil Trela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Erlantz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zula Erland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerónimo Souto in the 63rd minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Erlantz in the 64th minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conrado Javiar went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Erlantz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Lucjan Cerocki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Pogipool Olsztyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pimarn Emam didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teofil Trela. That made the score 2-1 in the 76 minute of play. After 81 played minutes FC Pogipool Olsztyn got a freekick which was hit by Szilveszter Vörös. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Erlantz in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, FC Pogipool Olsztyn's goalkeeper Teofil Trela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Andino. In the 93rd minute Jerónimo Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes.
