Jens-Ove Persson scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner led to Diniimanibelediyespor's Konrad Bern getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Diniimanibelediyespor's Melker Ödman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off.
