Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) John Aldridge started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Mo Salah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manly FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mo Salah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manly FC's Ray Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 10th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when John Aldridge sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ray Clemence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Aldridge got free with Dante Lacasa in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Salah in the 22nd minute of play. Ray Clemence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Salah in the 37th minute of play. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 40th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Manly FC's corner Nilson Snabl fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clifford Hamilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Lautaro Mancebo in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Manly FC's Mo Salah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. John Aldridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Manly FC's Ray Clemence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Manly FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Ray Clemence in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manly FC made a substitution. Matthias Hanslow replaced Fleming Wal. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Irving Bonnison hit a great ball. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manly FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Clemence saved Manly FC from getting behind. Ray Clemence made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Manly FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's Luca Rouco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ray Clemence in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luca Zorita in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ray Clemence, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 97 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Ray Clemence. The Manly FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
