Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Groom in the 20th minute of play. Peter Crouch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 82 minutes of play, Egg Chasers FC's Joel Groom made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Damian Stonehouse scored 0-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Crouch. 93 minutes into the game, Egg Chasers FC's Matthew Brookman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Egg Chasers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
