After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Çelik Kadem quite easily take care of the ball. Çelik Kadem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Luis Andino scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Çelik Kadem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Paris Saint German's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Çelik Kadem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Çelik Kadem saved Paris Saint German from getting behind. After 30 played minutes Paris Saint German got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Brito. 40 minutes into the match, Paris Saint German's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Çelik Kadem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Siniştean received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Bogdan Siniştean slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Paris Saint German booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çelik Kadem having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Çelik Kadem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 88 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Çelik Kadem managed to make a qualified save. Paris Saint German's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Çelik Kadem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
