Ademar Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 73rd minute. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Maia's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Sporting Clube Patrício's Vicente Maia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Many of Colombia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Colombia may have spent more time on the ball, but Sporting Clube Patrício were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
