An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Stein Spoelberch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stein Spoelberch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孔磊傲 in the 80th minute of play. Stein Spoelberch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Stein Spoelberch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Stein Spoelberch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
