The supporters of Mexico booed when Loco Cabezon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Loco Cabezon's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Leonides Galtero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Galtero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Loco Cabezon's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Mexico's Macos Graciani was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leonides Galtero in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Loco Cabezon defense, Macos Graciani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Galtero. The Loco Cabezon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Galtero should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Loco Cabezon booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Cristofor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Abajas in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 32nd minute of play forced Loco Cabezon's goalkeeper Leonides Galtero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Modesto Boni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Galtero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Leonides Galtero had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Joel Gaona from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Galtero was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Galtero saved Loco Cabezon from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of play forced Loco Cabezon's goalkeeper Leonides Galtero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Cristofor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonides Galtero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Abajas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Boni in the 66th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Boni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Perico's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteve Perico helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Loco Cabezon got a freekick which was hit by Esteve Perico. Leonides Galtero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonides Galtero, 0-3. When Jose Eleder fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loco Cabezon's protests and gave Jose Eleder a yellow card for diving instead. Jose Eleder kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Loco Cabezon getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jose Eleder hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Alvarez in the 76th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Loco Cabezon's goalkeeper Leonides Galtero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. 80 minutes into the match, Rogelio Abajas notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Galtero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 94th minute, Pascual Ariando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Loco Cabezon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
