Francisco Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Alberto Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Francisco Seco scored 1-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isac Vilela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
