When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Leonides Galtero made a huge save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Galtero having to interfere. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Loco Cabezon had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
