Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 4th minute. Old Boys's Pär Rolfsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. If Iacob Drăgoescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 10th minute. Panait Groza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iacob Drăgoescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. If Panait Groza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th match minute, Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Podgoreanu to maneuver through the defense. If Panait Groza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes, Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Old Boys's Aurelian Hidiș tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelian Hidiș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Gelu Feraru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Old Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iacob Drăgoescu to make the kick off. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Aurelian Hidiș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Iacob Drăgoescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Iacob Drăgoescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th match minute, Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelian Zorlescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Mugur Hurezan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelian Hidiș made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Aurelian Hidiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Drăgoescu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Hidiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Old Boys's Iacob Drăgoescu. But to his dismay, Iacob Drăgoescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 95th minute Flavius Nebunu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
