Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, 吴洲坚 notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's 吴洲坚 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Allan Varela was a little too slow when Pascual Carballar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Joshua Garrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Joshua Garrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitório Lago in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Vitório Lago notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Colombia booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celsinho Vidal hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palestra do Interior had won after a very even match.
