The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anacleto Libertad in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Los Guacho Pistola's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vladan Leszczynski in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Los Guacho Pistola's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Rodrigo Toribio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodrigo Toribio, 1-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Libertad in the 14th minute of play. Los Guacho Pistola's Rodrigo Toribio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Los Guacho Pistola from getting a goal against them. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rodrigo Toribio firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 37th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rodrigo Toribio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 39 minutes Los Guacho Pistola's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ermegildo Precioso tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rodrigo Toribio. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-0 in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Los Guacho Pistola's Anacleto Libertad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rd minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Theocharis Vrachos sent off a good shot on target. Los Guacho Pistola's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vladan Leszczynski in the 55th minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blagovest Deykov kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Los Guacho Pistola's Rodrigo Toribio managed to reach the ball for a save. Los Guacho Pistola's Rodrigo Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Toribio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodrigo Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rodrigo Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Anacleto Libertad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Rodrigo Toribio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Anacleto Libertad capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anacleto Libertad really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. In the 88th minute, Jan Zuid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. 95 minutes into the match, Los Guacho Pistola's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Rodrigo Toribio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
