Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes, Jonathan Massa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mustang V8 and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mustang V8's Jonathan Massa got a free kick in the 16th minute. Gadiel Bobadilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niceto Paio saved Mustang V8 from getting behind. After having played for 28 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niceto Paio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Mustang V8 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Horacio Foro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 46th minute of play forced Mustang V8's goalkeeper Niceto Paio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orlando Iraitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Mustang V8's players had a chance to rest. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gadiel Bobadilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Niceto Paio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 57 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Niceto Paio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Paio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mustang V8's Luis Isauro got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Paio having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Gadiel Bobadilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niceto Paio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 72nd minute of play. With his leg Niceto Paio managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Panama's Tomas Berganza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Miguel Miralles's late challenge caught a Mustang V8's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Miralles helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Panama's Miguel Miralles got a free kick in the 75th minute. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Iraitz's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. Niceto Paio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Santio in the 86th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Iraitz in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Mustang V8's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Niceto Paio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Mustang V8 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Massa to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
